Dear Senior,
Here it is - your Senior Year! I bet you thought it would never get here. Isn’t it great to be a Senior? Oh, you may not feel so different right now, but just wait until school starts back up in August. Everyone will be watching you...how you dress...what you say...where you go. You see, as a Senior, you set the trends that others will follow - this year and for years to come. You have been handed the traditions from others before you, and it is up to you to carry on those traditions, and to pass them down to those who will follow. That is why everyone looks to you.
The same is true for your Senior Portraits - you have earned the opportunity to have Senior Portraits by a professional photographer, and not ordinary “school” pictures! When it comes to Senior Portraits, I believe:
Don’t you agree? Then I’m sure you will find the rest of this web site to be very helpful in planning your session! I want to be your photographer, and I will do my best to make this the most fun you have ever had in a photo studio!

It all Starts with Planning!
There are not many people who could walk into a studio and come
away with great photographs, if they don’t know what to expect. That
is why I suggest you visit my studio personally. I will be happy to
go over your ideas and goals for your session, and I will offer
suggestions for ideas. I’ll share with you what kinds of clothes
photograph best, items to bring from home, and how to get the most
from your session.

These photographs should say something about you! That is why I ask you to bring things to your session that define your senior year. It may be your car, letter jacket, drill team uniforms, band instruments, sports equipment, a best friend, pets, skis, golf clubs, roller blades, scuba gear, ice skates, team jerseys, or just about anything else!
About the Session!
First of all, your session time is set aside just for you! No
crowded waiting room...no trying to cram as many Seniors as possible
into the day (you know - the “herd the cattle” syndrome)...no trying
to get finished ASAP! I want to have plenty of time for you to make
clothing changes and to get to the various locations that we might
want to use. Quality photographs require a photographer who works
in an unhurried atmosphere!
Make the Most of Your Session
I use a variety of backgrounds in the studio to compliment the
outfits that you wear, and create the mood that we are after.
Sometimes, I will even design a background just for your session!
I am not fond of cheesy props! I hate to see senior portraits that
look like a catalogue of some studio’s prop collection. That is why
I like you to bring personal items from home. This way, your Senior
Portraits are all about YOU!

Depending on the session that you choose, photographs may be taken outdoors as well as in the studio. I use a number of outdoor locations depending on the look we are going for, and the time of day that we are shooting! I listen to your suggestions. They don’t call photographers “the World’s Greatest Storytellers” for nothing! What’s your story???
